Introduction and definitions

1. By making a booking, the Client agrees to the terms and conditions set out below.
2. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Cambridge Cookery.
3. Client means the person or entity making the booking with Cambridge Cookery or the person or persons on whose behalf a booking has been made by the Client.
4. The terms “you” and “your” refer to the Client

 

Terms and conditions for the booking of scheduled classes and courses

1. Prices
Our prices are set out on our website. Prices may be subject to change from time to time.

2. Bookings and Payments
2.1 All bookings are made by the Client via our online booking system and are subject to availability.
2.2 Payment in full in required at the time of booking. The Client will be sent an automated email confirmation of the booking.

3. Amendments and Cancellations
3.1 By Cambridge Cookery
3.1.1
It may be necessary for reasons beyond our reasonable control to cancel, postpone or rearrange a class or course. We reserve the right to do this at any time, including in the unlikely event that there are fewer than three attendees booked. We undertake in this instance, subject to clause 3.1.2, to provide you with a full refund.
3.1.2 Where the class has been booked using a gift voucher, we will not issue a refund but the client will have the option to swap to another class of their choice (subject to availability) of the same value or to pay the uplift for a more expensive class.
3.1.3 Details of classes and courses set out on our website and elsewhere, including the general description, duration and any images, are for guidance only. We reserve the right to change the class content or duration at any time as we deem necessary.
3.1.4 We shall not be liable to you for travel, accommodation or other costs or expenses incurred by the Client if we are required to cancel, rearrange or change the content or duration of a class or course.
3.2 By the Client
3.2.1 No refunds will be given for cancellations or non attendance by the Client. If the Client requests a cancellation of a booking with at least 72 hours notice before the start time of the class, the Client will be able to change the booking to an alternative class of the same value, availability permitting, or choose to pay the uplift for a class of a higher value. In addition, classes booked using a voucher can only be swapped for an alternative class if that class is within the validity of the voucher.

4. Allergy, food intolerance and dietary requirements
You must inform us within 24 hours of confirmation of your booking of any allergy or food intolerance, and any dietary requirements. We will not be obliged to change a class to fit around individual requirements but will (without obligation) endeavour to substitute ingredients or inform the Client if this is not possible. We cannot guarantee that the premises and equipment will be free from allergens and, subject to clause 6 below, accept no liability for any allergic or other adverse reaction suffered.

5. Liability
5.1 Subject to clause 5.4 below, our aggregate liability to you, whether our liability arises in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for any damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind however arising or in connection with any booking (or requested booking) made by you shall be limited to the price paid by you in respect of your booking to attend the class or course.
5.2 You agree to indemnify Cambridge Cookery our staff and affiliates, and to hold us harmless to the fullest extent permissible by law, against all loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind arising from any act or omission by you during or otherwise in relation to a class or course.
5.3 Nothing in this document limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, or for any damage or liability incurred by you as a result of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by us.

 

Terms and conditions for the booking of DofE, Cooking for Uni and Chalet Chef courses

1. Prices
Our prices are set out on our website. Prices may be subject to change from time to time.

2. Bookings and Payments
2.1 All bookings are made by the Client via our online booking system and are subject to availability.
2.2 Payment in full in required at the time of booking. The Client will be sent an automated email confirmation of the booking.

3. Amendments and Cancellations
3.1 By Cambridge Cookery

3.1.1 It may be necessary for reasons beyond our reasonable control to cancel, postpone or rearrange a course. We reserve the right to do this at any time, including in the unlikely event that there are fewer than three attendees booked. We undertake in this instance, subject to clause 3.1.2, to provide you with a full refund.
3.1.2 Where the course has been booked using a gift voucher, we will not issue a refund but the client will have the option to swap to another course of their choice (subject to availability) of the same value or to pay the uplift for a more expensive class.

3.2 By the Client
If you are unable to attend and we receive notice of the same, we will pay you a refund as follows:

Notice received before start date
0-14 days = 0% refund
15-30 days = 50% refund
31-60 days = 80% refund
60+ days = 100% refund

4. Allergy, food intolerance and dietary requirements

Terms and conditions for the booking of corporate events, hen parties, private parties and other events

1. Prices
1.1
The prices set out on our website are for our standard concepts and may be subject to change from time to time.
1.2 The price payable by you will be set out in a written quote by us.
1.3 Where the price quoted by us for an event is calculated as a whole event price, not price per guest, any decrease in numbers will not affect the whole event price and cannot be reduced pro-rata. We reserve the right to increase the cost of the event in the case of an increase in guest numbers.
1.4 Where the event is priced on a per guest basis, the price can be adjusted up to 3 days before the start of the event if numbers changes. After this time no reduction in price can be made if numbers fall but we reserve the right to increase the price if numbers increase.

2. Bookings and Payments
2.1 Corporate Events: All booking requests are subject to availability and no booking is guaranteed until we receive written acceptance of our quote from you. At this point we will raise an invoice and the Client is contractually bound to pay the invoice in full, according to the payment and cancellation terms set out below.
2.2 Hen parties, private parties and other events: All booking requests are subject to availability and no booking is guaranteed until we receive written acceptance of our quote from you along with a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total price of the event.
2.3 Payment of the balance of the event price is payable no later than 3 days before the event date. Any additional cost incurred by you in respect of the event after this date, including any costs incurred on the day of the event itself, will be invoiced after the event and are payable within 7 days of the invoice date.

3. Amendments and Cancellations
3.1 By Cambridge Cookery
3.1.1
It may be necessary for reasons beyond our reasonable control to cancel, postpone or rearrange an event. We reserve the right to do so at any time. Following such a cancellation, postponement or rearrangement, we shall refund any payment already made by the Client.
3.1.2 Details of events set out on our website and elsewhere, including the general description, duration and any images, are for guidance only. We reserve the right to change the content or duration of an event at any time as we deem necessary.
3.1.3 We shall not be liable for travel, accommodation or other costs or expenses incurred by the Client if we are required to cancel, rearrange or change the content or duration of an event.
3.2 By the Client
3.2.1 Corporate events: 
in the event of a cancellation by the Client prior to the event, the invoice will become immediately payable as follows

0-3 days/100% payable (and any payments already made will be non refundable)
3-14 days/75% payable
15-30 days/50% payable
1 month or more/10% payable

3.2.2 Hen parties, private parties and other events: there will be no refund of any deposit or other payment made by the Client in the event of a cancellation, non attendance, postponement or rearrangement by them at any time.

4. Allergy, food intolerance and dietary requirements
You must inform us of any dietary requirements of individuals attending the event at the time of booking confirmation and we will use all reasonable endeavour to tailor an event to suit. We cannot accept changes to these requirements less than 5 days before the start of the event. We cannot guarantee that the premises and equipment will be free from allergens and, subject to clause 6 below, accept no liability for any allergic or other adverse reaction suffered.

5. Liability
5.1

5.3 Nothing in this document limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, or for any damage or liability incurred by you as a result of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by us.

 

Terms and conditions for the booking of culinary trips

1. Prices
1.1 Our prices are displayed on our website and may change from time to time.
1.2 We reserve the right to change the price of a culinary trip to take into account currency fluctuations at any time prior to our final confirmation of the running of a trip, approximately 6 weeks prior to the trip start date.

2. Bookings and Payments
2.1 All booking requests are subject to availability.
2.2 A £100 deposit is payable at the time of booking.
2.3 No booking is guaranteed until we give our final confirmation that the the trip will proceed, approximately 6 weeks before the trip start date and we have received payment in full. See clause 2.4.
2.4 Payment of the balance of the trip price must be made in full within 7 days of receipt of our final confirmation. Where a booking request is made after we have given the final confirmation, payment for the trip must be made in full within 3 days of the receipt of confirmation of your booking from us.
2.5 The booking and payment of flights and any additional travel arrangements is the responsibility of the Client.

3. Amendments and Cancellations
3.1 By Cambridge Cookery
3.1.1
It may be necessary for reasons beyond our reasonable control to cancel, postpone or rearrange a culinary trip. We reserve the right to do so at any time. Following such a cancellation, we shall refund any payment to us already made by the Client.
3.1.2 Details of trips set out on our website and elsewhere, including the general description, duration and any images, are for guidance only. We reserve the right to change the content or duration of a trip at any time as we deem necessary.
3.1.3 We shall not be liable for travel, accommodation or other costs or expenses incurred by the Client if we are required to cancel, postpone, rearrange or change the content or duration of a trip.
3.2 By the Client
3.2.1
The £100 deposit payable at booking is non refundable.
3.2.2 If you are unable to come on a trip and we receive notice of the same, we will pay you a refund as follows (less the £100 booking deposit):

0-21 days = 0% refund
22-42 days = 50% refund
42+ days = 100% refund

4. Allergy, food intolerance and dietary requirements
A large element of any culinary trip is the tasting of local foods over which we have no control. If you inform us of any dietary requirements we will use reasonable endeavour to advise you on the suitability of the trip but we cannot guarantee that food eaten or premises visited will be free from allergens and, subject to clause 6 below, accept no liability for any allergic or other adverse reaction suffered.

5. Liability
5.1 Subject to clause 5.4 below, our aggregate liability to you, whether our liability arises in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for any damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind however arising or in connection with any booking (or requested booking) made by you shall be limited to the price paid by you in respect of your booking of the trip.
