We care passionately about the quality and origin of our ingredients and are proud to use local, organic ingredients.

We work closely with local organic food supplier, COFCO (The Cambridge Organic Food Company). COFCO is at the heart of Cambridge's organic community, with direct links to the multitude of organic growers and food producers local to Cambridge. We are proud to work with COFCO, using its produce in our kitchen and for our cookery classes. When you eat at Cambridge Cookery, or join us for a hands-on culinary experience, you know you're only going to get the best, local, organic ingredients, and that in so doing, you are supporting local growers and the community.

Working with our suppliers

As well as working with COFCO, we work with a range of other hand-selected local suppliers, including meat from Croxton Park Organic Estate, Crumps Butcher (Ashwell), Radwinter Wild Game (Essex) and Rutland Organic Charcuterie. We source fruit and vegetables from a variety of local orchards, farms and producers, including Kale and Damson in nearby Papworth. We take time to get to know local suppliers, to ensure we're serving only the best and helping small producers to continue what they're doing. The art work we display is by local artist Naomi Davies, and a selection of cards made by her are available on the counter.

Hand-made, slow-food

We are proud to serve hand-made food with a Scandinavian and Italian influence. Everything we serve is made on our premises, with our bread and pastries proving each day from the early hours, ready to be baked fresh for our earlier customers. We constantly rethink our menu, ensuring that we are offering exciting, delicious dishes that change with the seasons. The time we put in to selecting and working with producers and suppliers we trust is reflected in the quality of our food. Our emphasis on organic and local ingredients means that our dishes are healthy and nutritious.

Wine, beer and soft drinks

We regularly travel to Italy to visit vineyards, meet with wine suppliers and carefully select the wines for our wine list. In this way, we know that what we are serving works well with our dishes. We source our beers from small scale suppliers, choosing the finest, craft lagers and ales. We also serve artisan soft drinks, so you're sure to try something new and delicious when you visit us!
