“Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants” – quote by our food hero Michael Pollan.
We have created this class to share our passion for plant based food and the sensational flavours of small scale, organic and local vegetables which lie behind our own food in the Café and Bistro. This class is full to the brim of delicious dishes which happen not to have any animal protein in them. Some of the recipes in the class are vegan but some rely on the use of dairy.
Recipes are adjusted to seasonal ingredients and will include some or all of the following
Moroccan Courgette & Green bean salad
Carpaccio of Beet with goat’s cheese and toasted pine nuts
Celeriac soup with wild mushrooms
Spinach and Gruyère Soufflé
Vietnamese vegetable curry with noodles
Poached pears with caramel sauce
The class starts with welcome coffee and tea and something freshly baked from our café and culminates in a communal lunch with wine.
Please note that there is extremely limited parking on site. We recommend guests who arrive via car to park on neighbouring roads or at the Leisure centre 10 min walk away.
