Love fish but not sure how to cook it?
This is quite possibly the class which most transforms people’s cooking. It is a joy to see guests leave the class beaming, and declaring an absolute love for and confidence in cooking fish.
We are an award winning sustainable business and all our fish is very carefully sourced to ensure its sustainability. To us that means sourced as locally as we possibly can, wild when possible and when not, farmed in ways which allow the fish to live a natural life with freedom to follow natural patterns and caught by sustainable vessels using sustainable fishing methods.
The spring class includes a wonderful Italian recipe for aromatic Trout wrapped in Prosciutto, Herb crusted Plaice with sautéed celeriac and and fennel, Venetian sweet and sour mackerel, a classic Swedish salmon and dill Gratin, Scottish mussels in saffron and white wine as well as classic fish sauces including Mayonnaise and Remoulade.
Our morning starts with coffee, tea and cake and finishes with a magnificent fish lunch and a glass of chilled white wine. Full recipe packs to take home.
We are found at the very end of Purbeck Road (off Hills Rd by the sixth form centre) where you turn left by Abbey college and then carry straight on for about 60m to the white awnings you will see ahead.
Please note that there is very limited parking on site. We recommend the multi storey at the Leisure Centre less than 10min walk away or the Babraham Park & Ride which stops on Hills Road, very close to Purbeck Rd.
