Details

Lamb tends to be associated with the Easter table. The fact is that lamb is at its very best in early summer, when the lambs born at the beginning of the year have had time to fatten up on new grass. Lamb is a delight on the barbecue and lends itself perfectly to large Sunday roasts as well as to elegant Saturday dinners.

We cover all the basics, from which cuts to slow cook, and how, and which to hardly cook at all; why paying for quality makes such a difference and why resting the cooked meat is more important for lamb than any other meat. We explain the wonders of a good pan jus as well as more complex sauces.

The class is 100% hands on and includes classics such as Herbed rack of lamb with red wine reduction, marinated butterflied leg of lamb for the Barbecue; Moroccon lamb burgers and Italian style slow cooked leg for rainy days.

The class culminates in a sit down lunch with wine.

Full recipe packs included.

We are found at the very end of Purbeck Road (off Hills Rd by the sixth form centre) where you turn left by Abbey college and then carry straight on for about 60m to the white awnings you will see ahead.

Please note that there is very limited parking on site. We recommend the multi storey at the Leisure Centre less than 10min walk away or the Babraham Park & Ride which stops on Hills Road, very close to Purbeck Rd.
