A class on what to do with cold pasta?

No, a class on how to cook and eat sustainably. As the only zero food waste café in Cambridge we run our daily cooking on a low waste, multi-use basis. For the home cook, chasing meals for at least a day, if not two, is not only hugely gratifying, it also saves time and creates a natural cycle of sustainability at home.

We are lead by seasonal produce so the recipes for this class vary depending on the time of year. We like to use our rye bread as a fried, cinnamon dusted crumb for breakfast combos, we use our sour dough to make delicious Tuscan bread and tomato soup, we make hot & sour noodle soup from the last scraps of Sunday’s roasted chicken and make Brunch classics such as Huevos Rancheros and mid-week super suppers from what’s left of our Sunday roast.

The class culminates in a generous communal meal  with beer or wine

We are found off Hills Road, down Purbeck Road, where you turn left in front of Abbey college.

This leads into our little enclave Homerton college and we are straight down, by the white awnings. We have a few parking spaces right by our door which usually suffice for evening classes.
