We learn how to create professional pasta dough and how to roll, cut and shape it into Garganelli pasta tubes, sleek Tagliatelle and filled ravioli with classic accompaniments – Arrabbiata sauce, summer pesto and summer vegetable filling for ravioli using roasted red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes and ricotta.
We are found at the very end of Purbeck Road (off Hills Rd by the sixth form centre) where you turn left by Abbey college and then carry straight on for about 60m to the white awnings you will see ahead.
The teens won’t need to bring anything but we ask that arms, legs and feet are covered, long hair tied up and dangly jewellery left at home. We also ask teens not to use/touch their mobile phones while cooking – for reasons of hygiene.
