We kick off our 2027 wine program with wine from three European countries below most people’s immediate radar.
Our second tasting focuses on new wave Greek wines.
Greece, like Spain and Portugal,, suffered under a military dictatorship, most recently between 1967 and 1974., followed by its entry into the European Economic Community in 1981. Investments and grants for the country’s wine industry encouraged a move from cheap, bulk cooperatively produced wines toward independent estate-bottled quality wines and PDO regulations.
This evening will showcase some of the rising stars of Greek wine making. Small producers, often from high altitude and coastal locations, practicing biodynamic and organic farming and precision wine making lead the way for premium Greek wine.
Join us for a communal and convivial evening of wine tasting and wine education.
Tine Roche, DipWSET, always offers high quality bread, charcuterie and cheese with her tastings as well as the occasional surprise, freshly made dish.
