Details

Join us for a wonderful parent and child morning of mastering some of the world’s best breads. Mixing, kneading, shaping and eventually smelling and cutting into your own hand made bread are essential hands-on activities equally suitable for younger children as more experienced teens. We will make Fougasse, from southern France; German Rye and Walnut ring and Pitta Breads, each representing a particular bread making technique and all really easy to make again at home.

Why not arrive early and start with lunch in our Café? We hand make all our breads and pastries (naturally!) and offer delicious salads, filled Focaccia, open Rye sandwiches and salads.

We are found at the very end of Purbeck Road (off Hills Rd by the sixth form centre) where you turn left by Abbey college and then carry straight on for about 60m to the white awnings you will see ahead.

Please note that there is very limited parking on site. We recommend the multi storey at the Leisure Centre less than 10min walk away or the Babraham Park & Ride which stops on Hills Road, very close to Purbeck Rd.
