Cambridge Cookery is an independent neighbourhood meeting place, a relaxing hub of seriously good food, coffee, wine & cocktails, local and organic from the finest suppliers.

We use only the finest, locally sourced, sustainable ingredients to create lovingly crafted, homemade dishes with a strong Scandinavian and Italian influence.

We are open Tuesday-Sunday for breakfast, brunch and lunch, and Friday and Saturday evenings for dinner with Michelin starred chef, Mark Poynton. In addition, we open on occasional other evenings for dinners hosted by our own talented chefs.

Neighbourhood Café

Join us in our Café for freshly baked bread, cakes and pastries, award-winning coffee, lunches and long, Sunday brunches. Our team of passionate chefs and artisan bakers use the best, seasonal ingredients to create fresh, delicious food throughout the day. Check out the menu here.

Mark Poynton restaurant

Following the success of Michelin star chef, Mark Poynton’s autumn 2019 pop-ups, he will be joining Cambridge Cookery on Friday and Saturday evenings. Mark will offer two distinct concepts: a choice of 3-course à la carte for £40 or 5 courses for £50 on Fridays and a tasting menu for £55 on Saturdays. With Mark running service in the open cookery school, we will offer that area as a chef’s table, in addition to seating in the Bistro. Guests sitting near Mark will be able to watch him and his chefs at work in a relaxed and inspiring setting, with all dishes created right before their eyes. Book table here.

Events and Wine Tastings

We regularly host dinners cooked and hosted by our own team of acclaimed chefs, as well as wine-tasting evenings, and other exciting tasting events. Our wine tastings emphasise the joy of pairing food and wine whilst teaching you about what you’re trying. To find out more about our outstanding and unusual tasting events and pop-ups – click here.

Independent, homemade & local

Cambridge Cookery is an entirely independent business. Our team of passionate chefs and artisan bakers use the finest, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients to create fresh, delicious, homemade food throughout the day. Our bread and croissants are proving and baking every day from the early hours, so that they’re ready for customers to enjoy first thing in the morning – along with a cup of our award winning coffee. We work with suppliers to source the best ingredients, always working with what’s in season. Read about our trusted suppliers here.

Dog friendly!

Cambridge Cookery is a dedicated, dog-friendly establishment! We love dogs and welcome you to bring along your furry friends to our cafe. We will even greet them with a delicious, home-made doggy biscuit, so they don’t feel left out. Our cafe looks out onto a park and we have plenty of outdoors seating if your four-legged friends prefer the fresh air!
