Calling connoisseurs and complete can’t tell the difference wine lovers alike!

Bring friends, come as a pair or alone and join in the fun!

A guided wine tasting and talk with Tine Roche based on a flight of wines with tapas sized food from our kitchen. The informative and explorative part of the evening will be followed by a very light hearted quiz to suit nerds & novices alike! This is not a dinner event but the bites we serve are plentiful.

We aim for you to have as much fun – if not more – answering the questions you don’t know as those you do. Plenty of wine will be left on the tables to enjoy during the quiz.

As we have chosen February 14th for this first event, we thought wines from a blisteringly hot part of France would be just the ticket. The wines from this very warm, dry and windy part of southeastern France taste the way they do due to these growing conditions. Most wines are relatively inexpensive, but there are exceptions. The region is also home to the little known Vins Doux Naturel – fortified wines made in a similar fashion to Port and definitely an acquaintance worth making if you are not familiar with them.

Don’t like sweet wines? Do the very words “sherry” and “Madeira” conjure up images of dusty bottles dug out from the back of a pantry, sweet wine poured in to thimble sized glasses? If so, this tasting is for you!

Sherry and Madeira are both fortified wines. Most styles of sherry are bone dry, outstanding food wines. Madeira comes with soaring acidity levels, again, making the various styles excellent accompaniments to food.

We are calling the connoisseurs and the clueless alike for an evening of outstanding wine and tapas style dishes.
